SLA 103 Water Source
The “big deal” at this location on the northeastern corner of the island was that it was the source of much of the freshwater on the island. In addition to being vital to everyday life, water is also a key ingredient for the rum industry. The guide claimed it was safe to drink the water from any of the spots were it was running, but standing water posed a chance of biological contamination. We did not test this claim!
